Behavior expectations:
We are a renowned academy that values respect, honesty, and hard work. Under no circumstances will I tolerate any disruption at any level. I demand immediate attention when I call for it. Upon entering class and the bell ringing the following must happen:
* All students must be in their assigned seats. Those who are present and are not seated are late.
* All students must immediately take out their homework and have it visible on their desk.
* All students must immediately being working on the starter question on the board, individually or together.
Failure to comply with the above will result in reduced points on the starter questions and homework, and or a detention for being late.
Interruptions during lecture are not tolerated. Please review the hierarchy of progressive discipline:
* 1st time: Verbal warning.
* 2nd time: Second verbal warning/ possible relocation of seat.
* 3rd time: Phone call home, detention, and phone call home.
* 4th time: Administrative referral.
Persistent daily disruptions will incur other consequences at the discretion of the teacher.
Grading and Assignments:
All assignments are due on the specified dates, unless otherwise dictated. Homework assignments are due the day after they are assigned, unless otherwise dictated.
Late work is only accepted for full credit for an excused absence. Any other circumstances will warrant an maximum 60% possible score for being one day late. You can get a maximum 40% for being two days late, but late work will not be accepted after the second day.
I use the following grading scale:
100 - 98 = A+
97- 93 = A
92-90 = A-
89-88 = B+
87-83 = B
82-80 = B-
79-78 = C+
77-73 = C
72-70 = C-
69-68 = D+
67-63 = D
62-60 = D-
59 -0 = F
All grades will be rounded to the nearest percent.
